Welcome to this series on the Kingdom of God. I am taking the approach of imagining I am living in Israel around 30AD and am starting to hear about this Jesus from Nazareth preaching something about the Kingdom of God. From this vantage point I know nothing of church history that occurred after that date. I am however familiar with what you people call the “Old Testament” – old huh? it was the only one we had at the time.
It’s going to take some time to do this – there are over 80 verses in the New Testament that refer to the Kingdom of Heaven or the Kingdom of God, so check back here often.
I am hoping this approach will allow you to hear this message in a new and refreshing way.
